MARKOV CASE
INTRODUCTION
Georgi Ivanow Markov, born on March 1, 1929, in Knyazhevo, was a
Bulgarian writer and novelist in his native country. Later, he shifted to
London and worked as a journalist and broadcaster for BBC World Services
(1972). Between the years 1975 and 1978, Markov worked on his In Absentia
Reports, an analysis of life in Communist Bulgaria.
